Lark Buntings

We went up by Randolph last Friday and were suprised to see not just one
lark bunting but many lark buntings flying across the highway to the sage
to retrieve bundles of insects for the kiddies. Also, on the way up there
in the Monte Cristo area we saw a family of blue grouse in the road and got
off a couple of photos before a huge speeding truck sent them flying to the
bushes. We saw lots of birds and even traveled to the Bear Lake Waterfowl
Management Area just across the border in Idaho. Aren't 15 hour birding
days wonderful?!

Also, thanks to those who gave their opinion on the Cassin's Finch photos.
Every birder who responded to my question admitted they didn't know that
the first-year males resemble the females. Therefore, I'm just keeping the
bird labeled as a female until God sends me an email correcting my error.
