magpie blues

Last year in my backyard, a pair of killdeer had two clutches of eggs stolen
by magpies.

This year I have a pair of robins that have just finished building a
beautiful little nest on a ledge next to our house.  Of course the magpies
have already discovered it and are giving them a hard time.
Does anyone have some ideas of how to keep magpies away from their nest?  I
am open to any suggestions, plans, or ideas...
