Hummingbird Festival in Tucson



The Hummingbird Society is hosting its 2nd Annual Festival of Hummingbirdssm
in Tucson, Arizona on April 3-4, 2004 at the Tucson Convention Center, and
we hope you and your members can join us for a weekend of fun and learning
about hummingbirds!

Highlights of the Festival include:

Program sessions led by experts such as Sheri Williamson (author of Peterson
's Field Guide to Hummingbirds of North America), Karen Krebbs
(Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum), Charles Melton (hummingbird photographer),
Dr. Doug Altshuler (scientist who will speak on "How Hummingbirds Fly"), and
many more.  Another program highlight will be a dramatized storytelling by
the authors of "Moose, Bear, & Hummingbird," suitable for the whole family.


A presentation by keynote speaker John Vanderpoel, co-creator of the
incredible Advanced Birding Video Series®.(Saturday Night Keynote - all
proceeds dedicated to hummingbird conservation)

A Nature Expo featuring non-profits, vendors, and artisans with information,
products, and services of interest to nature lovers.

Special activities for children on Sunday, April 4 from 1-5 p.m.


The weekend's festivities also include our Hummingbird and Wildlife Art Show
of the Southwestsm, featuring 18 of the nation's finest wildlife artists!


FREE ADMISSION to the Wildlife Art Show and Nature Expo, which are open to
the public.  Tickets are required for the Program (discounts available for
orders received by 3/15/04).  Children age 12 and under are FREE to all
activities, including the Program, when accompanied by an adult.


We're asking for your help in letting your members know about this fun,
educational opportunity.
