Hi all
We just got back from a snow walk near the Hyrum Reservoir. The highlight
was a Merlin that we saw from out driveway across the street in a tree
inside the park. He's still there as I write this; perhaps he's roosting
for the night.
He's what we saw on our walk:
Black-billed Magpie
Red-winged Blackbird
American Crow
European Starling
Dark-eyed Junco
House Finch
White-crowned Sparrow
Black-capped Chickadee
Merlin
The Merlin was our first for the state of Utah and our 15th yard species
since we arrived here less than a month ago.
Good birding,
Richard
