Utah and Juab Counties

Beautiful day for birding! We drove down to see the hawks by Santaquinn.
Their tummies were full and they were too lazy to fly so we got some nice
pictures (red-tails, ferruginous, rough-legged). We also saw lots of
harriers.
At Burriston Ponds we saw a canvasback duck and on the way out to the
highway Nicky spotted a georgeous prairie falcon parked in a small tree. He
posed for pictures, too.
At Salem Pond there were scaup (didn't check to see if they were greater or
lesser) and many other waterfowl.
Almost all the ponds had shoveler, gw teal, wigeon, common goldeneye,
mallard, gadwall, bufflehead, eared grebe, and Canada geese.
Horned larks were everywhere. We saw over 30 species of birds today.
