Kanab

On the way to my trip to Kanab, there were two adult Bald Eagles on the
Sevier River around Circleville, on Highway 89. Saw another two in Johnson
Canyon around Kanab at dusk. Had no idea they actually went down this far
- what a great way to find out!

Also, hiked to "the wave" in Paria Canyon and saw brilliant blue Pinyon
Jays (I'm told they look that way in the sunlight) and a rock wren.

Other birds seen around I-15: 2 Rough-legged hawks, numerous redtails, and
2 female harriers.
