There was a spotted sandpiper on the north side of the south jetty at the
Provo Marina today. Isn't this a tad bit out of season?
We also saw a beautiful bald eagle, killdeer, flickers, northern shovelers,
and a song sparrow at the Marina.
There were great blue herons in the moat along the airport dike and we got
to see the Merlin and as we went to take a picture he was chased off by a
kestrel.
Nice day for birding. Other birds we saw--golden eagle, red-tails, common
goldeneye, gadwall, white-crowns, ring-necked pheasant, and canada goose.
