I was finally able to get out this morning and chase
the Ross's Goose that Jack Holley reported at Decker
Lake and the Great Egret at Lee Kay Ponds, Both birds
are still there, the goose where Jack reported it just
east of the island, and the egret is now in the main
pond, on an island just east of the gazebo.
It was almost comical watching the goose. There was a
pair of Canadian Geese that it kept following, and the
Canadians acted like they did not want him tagging
along as one of them turned around and chased after
the Ross's Goose. As soon as the Canadian resumed
it's travels, the Ross's fell into formation right
behind them, until the Canadian noticed it, then the
whole scene would re-enact.
Also at Lee Kay were 3 Bonaparte's Gulls.
Ain't birding great!!
Bruce
