We birded Antelope Island on Sunday and thanks to input from Dana Green,
whom we just happened to bump into, we were able to obtain a life bird--
Cassin's Vireo--at Garr Ranch. We also saw tanagers, flycatchers, prairie
falcon, a green-tailed towhee, an orange-crowned warbler and Wilson's
warblers (no waterthrush). The island was hopping with birds.
We stopped at Farmington Bay on the way home and were lucky enough to find
a blue-gray gnatcatcher foraging in the trees on the top of that little
hill.
Fifty-seven species for the day.
