I went up to Tanner's Flat today to check on an
American Dipper nest I have been monitoring for a few
years. Sure enough, dippers were there for the third year in a row.
There were at least three hungry mouths for mama to feed. Other birds of
interest included lots of Warbling Vireos, Black-headed
Grosbeaks and Chipping Sparrows along with one female
Western Tanager and a lone Downy
Woodpecker.
Be prepared for slight traffic delays as part of the road
below Tanner's Flat is being resurfaced.
