New yard birds

Mother Nature delivered me an exciting birthday gift
today!!!  Not one, but two new yard birds!!!  My five
year old grand daughter and I were watching the House
Finches feed at the feeder when I happened to see
another bird scratching in the tall grass near our
fence.  I grabbed the binoculars and sure enough, a
Green Tailed Towhee!!  Then while I was watching the
towhee, a Hermit Thrush appeared out of nowhere on a
branch of our apple tree!! 
I suspect that the stormy weather may have had
something to do with the 2 new arrivals.  Whatever the
reason, I'm enjoying their presence (or more
appropriately, "presents"!!!)
