This morning while taking BYU students birding we saw 8 Black Crowned
Nignt Herons at the extreme SW corner of the Provo Airport dike.. Just
east of there we were privileged to see four Snowy Egerets. At the mouth
of Provo River in Utah Lake State Park we saw a Black Necked Stilt, a
first for the season. A pair of Osprey were on the nesting platform
north of the Provo Airport Rd.
>From the road west of the south end of Mona reservoir there were
Long-billed Curlew in the fields. At Burriston Ponds, another Osprey.
There were many other species. Airport dike and vicinity birds were seen
about 8:00 AM. Birds at Burriston Ponds and Mona Res. about noon.
Good Birding
