General Waterbird Survey

After having an extremely cold December, we are starting to thaw some and
birds are coming back. Can winter be over all ready? We didn't even get
any snow. The following birds were seen within the survey route:
Canada geese 642
Mallard 2,840
Gadwall 4
Northern pintail 170
Common merganser 14
Great blue heron 2
Red-tailed hawk 3
Northern harrier 11
American kestrel 1
Bald eagle 5
