Message: Last evening from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., we (LaNita and Amy) were
delighted to observe the Varied Thrush in the exact location as expected,
thanks to the recent postings. (Corner of 2620 North and Foothill Drive,
across the street from the gazebo.) We located him on the hill by the
house, giving us lovely views as he darted in and out of the small bushes,
taking occasion to stop and sing! About 7:30, he suddenly flew over the
back fence, quickly dropping down and out of sight. We waited a little
longer, but there was no encore. Thanks everybody for sharing this
information with us. We hope this recent sighting will be helpful to
someone too.
