I woke up at 6:30 this morning to hear my first Spotted Towhee of the
season honking his horn in my yard. "BEEP-BEEP" goes his 2 note call as he
goes from bush to bush claiming his territory even though we still have several
feet of snow in the yard. He is always my first migrant to show up and the
last to leave. I better fill my hummer feeders as they should be here
within 3 weeks...spring has sprung!
Happy birding to all,
