Bear River Refuge Count






Waterbird and Raptor Survey
11/19/04

Count today 11/19/04 was 155,782 total ducks.  This is down from 200,000 on
November 1.  30% of birds were seen from the tour loop and 10% within the
hunt units.  This is right on the long-term average of 152,000 ducks.  The
units holding the most birds are in the interior/closed portion of the
Refuge.  Above average numbers of Bald Eagles and Harriers for this time of
year.
