Brown pelican at Newcastle Reservoir [resent]

The magnificent brown beast was still there as of 8 pm last night (12 May
04).  It seemed to prefer the marshy upper (southern) end of the
reservoir, where most of the waterfowl and grebes are, but did fly about
now & again in a leisurely manner.  It is indeed an immature bird (based
on plumage rather than behavior).  You can't miss it if it is there.

Newcastle Reservoir is a small reservoir south of the town of Newcastle
in Iron County.
