Brown pelican at Newcastle Reservoir

The magnificent brown beast was still there as of 8 pm last night (12 May
04).  It seemed to prefer the marshy upper (southern) end of the
reservoir, where most of the waterfowl and grebes are, but did fly about
now & again in a leisurely manner.  It is indeed an immature bird (based
on plumage rather than behavior).  You can't miss it if it is there.

Newcastle Reservoir is south of the town of Newcastle in Iron County.
