Mandarin Ducks!

Behind the Sinclair gas station on 3300 S. and 700 East in Salt Lake City
(southwest corner by the Kinkos), there is a Mandarin male/female (I
think) pair.  One is very colorful, the other is mostly gray/white but
with great patterns.

A small creek runs between the gas station and our office building.  We
here in the office thought for a while that these were just occasional
visitors, but have realized that they are living here under a tree (fairly
well hidden).  They hang out with a couple of mallards.

They were first spotted a few weeks ago.  Exact date unknown.  I got some
great shots which I'll be sending to the web site today.
