California Condor at Zion National Park

Sunday, April 13 - ~1:30pm on the Zion Canyon Scenic Drive

A trip down to Zion NP resulted in a spectacular sighting of a California
Condor!!! According to park officials there have been 4 Condors in the
park for the last several days feeding on a deer carcass. The carcass is
located on the Zion Canyon Scenic Drive near the Wheeping Rock bus stop.
Get off the bus and walk about 25m south, climb the embankment and look
across the river. You can't see the carcass but look for Turkey Vultures
in the area.

If you are planning a trip ask park officials about the Condors. They
have been keeping close tabs on them. A few visitors were caught throwing
rocks at them to see them fly:(

Cheers
JFC
