The WINTER WREN reported last year was at the same spot--Canyon View Park in
Provo Canyon. Park at the west end of the parking lot, walk on the asphalt
trail going toward the mouth of the canyon until you come to a footbridge
crossing the Provo River. The wren was next to the bridge on the north
side. Provo Canyon was very quiet for birding with the only other species
seen in the canyon being a couple of SONG SPARROWS and a soaring GOLDEN
EAGLE. The LEWIS WOODPECKER was on top of a power line pole at the small
park near 4100 North Foothill Drive, Provo.
