Hi All:
Friday, 3 January, 2003
I spent nearly two hours scouring the City Cemetery in Salt
Lake City today, looking for juniper titmouse and bushtit. I found
neither, but did have 12 species. The two most interesting, to me, were
Townsend's solitaire and cedar waxwing. The rest were all just the very
common species like junco, house finch, etc.
I also birded the 13 miles of road between
I-15 and the Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge maintenance area between
3:30 and 6:00 p.m. I found no sage grouse or short-eared
owls.
The directions to the City Cemetery found on the utahbirds.org
web site are very good - thanks!
