Wood duck

The wood ducks are back.  I have seen wood ducks in the pond west to my
place on a semi regular basis.  I saw one this morning.  To get there
take Provo west center St. to 2400 west, go right, north, to 200 north,
turn left, west, to 2520 west, turn right, north, go 1/2 block.  The pond
is on the left or west side somewhat screened  with grass and trees. Be
patient they drift in and out of the cover.  I saw a merlin on the west
dike road of the Provo airport.  There are lesser scaup. common golden
eye, ruddies, bufflehead and the other usuals on the harbor at Utah Lake
State Park at the west end of center St. Provo
