Recent (July 12-14th,
2002) bird sightings from the Moab (Grand County) area: American white pelican
(14th), white-winged dove (14th), and double-breasted cormorant (12th). The
pelican and cormorant were in the Colorado River in the vicinity of the Atlas
Minerals Site and the white-winged dove was about 1/8 mile from the border of
the Scott M. Matheson Wetlands Preserve at a feeder.
