I birded the BOR below the Jordanelle Dam today (heh, heh - I'm gettin' to
be a Heber Valley local!).
Several Cedar Waxwings, a zillion Yellow Warblers, the famed American
Redstart and the Catbird. Someone has thoughtfully attached a lime-green
ribbon to a tree just where the Redstart hangs out. (It says UDWR Net
#3). The AR frequents the dead trees about 30' east of the dirt
road. Still singing lustily but alas no female yet.
I'm now such a local that I even had lunch at 'The Other
End' - good burger and friendly folks. Then drove exactly 1.0 mi. west on
1200 N and spotted a male Bobolink.
2 Caspian Terns at the eastern end of the Reservoir near the Rock
Cliff Nature Center.
