Subject: Antelope Island 5/2Email_Address: Edsonleite@aol.com Message: I took a friend out today for her first birdind trip of the year. We were looking for the plovers they would be lifers for her. There were very few shore birds no luck on Whirbrel, we got the plover. We got there at 730 am,all the shore birds were gone at 930 when we left. I did make it to the Ranch. An interesting thing was seeing a godwit perched on a bush. I got three lifers one while driving in the to the island. 33 species total. Birds seen: Marbled Godwit Black-bellied Plover Avocets Greater Yellowlegs Willet Black-necked Stilt California Gull Bonaparte' Gull Great Blue Heron Gadwall Lesser Scaup Eared Greebe Yellow-headed Blackbird Red-winged Blackbird Brewer's Blackbird Western Meadowlark Brown-headed Cowbird Horned Larks Loggerhead Shrike Northern Mockingbird Barn Swallow Common Raven Chuckar White-crowned Sparrow Lark Sparrow Rock Wren Starling Magpie ProngHorn Black-tailed Jackrabbit On the Freeway Forster?s Tern American White Pelican Red-tailed Hawk Kestrel Ed
