Eric Huish and I headed down to the Beaver area today. We first stopped at Chicken Creek Resivoir in Juab County. We saw a Bald Eagle, and a wide assortment of ducks. Such as Redheads, Ruddy Ducks, Lesser Scaup, and many others. Next we went down to Minersville Resivoir. Between Beaver and Minersville we saw a Ferruginous Hawk, Bald Eagles, and Loggerhead Shrikes. Around Minersville Resivoir we saw Common Mergansers, Buffleheads, Cinnamon Teal, hundreds of Snow Geese, Northern Shrike, and an American Avocet. We then tried out Beaver Cemetery. We saw Mountain Chickadees, Pine Siskens, and a Brown Creeper. We stopped at a rest stop northbound I-15 in Beaver County in the Junipers. We saw many Juniper Titmice, and Scrub Jays. All together we saw about 45 species today. It was a fund day of birding.
