Joel,

Went to AI this afternoon and think I saw your Surf Scoter in the same =
location, across from the marina.  There were also some Goldeneyes =
(Barrow's) there, as there were on the north side of the causeway--one =
male and 4 females.

Did you perhaps notice a scoter-looking bird with a white wing patch and =
an orange-tipped beak?  I am hoping I did, and that it was not a =
goldeneye.  I am going to check tomorrow morning again, with my fingers =
crossed.
