Hi.
I had some time today so I thought I would trace some of our steps of
the St. George Christmas Bird Count. Results:
The two American White Pelicans are still on the SunRiver Pond. But
the Ross's and Snow Goose were gone, replaced by two hugh Swans...
The Greater White-fronted Goose is still at the pond at Dixie Red
Hills Golf Course. While checking out the pond I heard a melodious sound
behind me in the Mesquite and Salt Brush, turned, and there was a
Crissal Thrasher.
My last stop was at Cox Park where the two Vermilion Flycatchers
were seen (Dec. 24th and 28th) to see if any were still around. You bet!
I watched one or more males for 30 minutes or more. Stunning!!!
Good hunting.
