Utah Birders
I went to Garr ranch today from 8:30 to 11:00. It was very slow today =
until about 10:30 then it picked up. First, as I was leaving, a flock =
of Townsend's Warblers flew into the elm trees where the benches are. =
The flock was of 20-30 birds. I saw two male birds that were brighter =
than any bird I have ever seen in Oregon where they nest. They were =
low/high/on the ground. Amazing color. At least two Cassin's Vireos =
were with them. I could only find Townsend's. I expected more with the =
big flock. I also scared a Barn Owl from the elms and it flew into the =
trees east of the bench area.
Other birds seen:
Wilson's Warbler
Cordilleran Flycatcher
Green-tailed towhee
Warbling Vireo
Coopers Hawk
Song Sparrow
Sora
Macgillivrays Warbler
Red-naped Sapsucker
Blue-gray gnatcatcher
Rock Wren (on rocks on the way)
