Semipalmated Sandpiper

I never thought I would be able to do it but after observing at close range
for over an hour and a half with books in hand I was able to identify a
juvenile Semipalmated Sandpiper. It was with four Western sandpipers at the
Lindon marina(utah co.). At the north end of the marina there are some mud
flats. Walk out to the north jetty. I also saw a Baird's Sandpiper and had
a Solitary Sandpiper land briefly right in front of me. (4-6 p.m.
