Stilt Sandpipers, Black Terns

Dennis Shirley reported seeing  two Stilt Sandpipers amongst a large
number of long-billed dowitchers at the Provo airport dike (Utah Co.)
this morning (7.31.01  8am). The birds were in the same place they were
last year, which is about half way between the SW corner of the dike and
the new extension. If you are approaching from the east, go all the way
around the new part and continue west till you come to the end of the
water to a bay where vegetation starts. He also saw a couple of Black
Terns fly by.
