Yellow-billed cuckoos

A pair of yellow-billed cuckoos was relocated this morning (Fourth of
July, around 9am) on the Provo River. We played the tape under the
cottonwoods east of the Oxbow area between the Oxbow and the place where
the walkway comes right next to the road. (The trees are really big and
the walkway goes right under them). One flew in and another one was heard
calling from the next clump of trees. After some SL birders joined us, we
watched both of them in the trees just across the river to the south. (A
lifer for most of us and also #300 Utah bird for Milton).
A day to celebrate in more ways than one. ~ Tuula
