This morning I was in Goshen Canyon and saw the male Bunting. It was
singing in the junipers just above the shack. There was a male and female
Blue Grosbeak at the mouth of the canyon and a male a little farther up. I
was there between 9 and 10 am. The YB Chat was quite stubborn, but finally
came up for a good look. I never get tired of looking at Chats. I was
feeling quite good about the day until I found out I missed the phone call
for the YB Cuckoo. I went there this evening, but didn't see it.
My daughter is competing at a track meet in St. George this weekend. Does
anyone know of any interesting birds that I can try for? I won't have too
much time to bird.
