Painted Bunting

A late report:
A male Painted Bunting was visiting a feeder in Providence from
Wednesday, June 20 thru Tuesday,
June 25. Although it hasn't been seen since then, any birders are
welcome to try their luck. See John and Wendy Lisonbee at 128 South
100 West in Providence (just south of Logan).

The Williamson's Sapsuckers near Provo River Falls were seen today, June
29. They are feeding young in a large dead reddish pine standing on the
edge of a twenty-foot cliff adjacent to the river, approximately where
they were seen on the 25th (200 yds upriver from the falls). Also, a
male Three-toed Woodpecker was frequenting the woods another 100 yds
upriver.
On Bald Mountain, several Black Rosy-Finches were present today, foraging
amoungst the rocks below the summit. At Mirror Lake, Gray Jays were seen
in the campground near site 13.

Good birding!
Joel and Kathy Beyer
