<Forwarded late (sorry) by the webmaster -- I was out of the county>

Subject: white-rumped sandpiper

Email_Address: jay_banta@fws.gov

Message: A single white-rumped sandpiper was sighted at the Fish
Springs NWR on Tues, June 6. The bird, still in breeding plumage, was
sighted in Gadwall Unit and was the only shorebird in this area, aside
from
several snowy plovers. The wetland component of this unit at this time

is only about half the area of a football field. Birders are reminded
that this area is permanenetly closed to the public and that permission

to aceess is required on a case by case basis. (435)831-5353 for more
infomation.
