Glover Lane

The ponds at the end of Glover Lane in Farmington, had a nice variety of
birds on Monday, April 9: Among them were pelicans, cormorants, great blue
herons, snowy egrets, Canada geese, red-breasted mergansers (at least 6),
buffleheads, ring-necked ducks, cinnamon and green-winged teal, Caspian
terns, canvasbacks, redheads, shovelers, mallards, pied-billed grebes,
yellow-headed blackbirds, avocets, gadwall, wigeon, lesser scaup (tried to
turn them into greaters, but couldn't), tree swallows, and barn swallows.
Nothing unusual, but great looks at some really nice birds. Enjoy, before
Legacy Highway goes in, and 3,000 more homes. . . (oops - a little bit of
political rhetoric slipped onto Birdnet. . .) Carol
