BOX ELDER COUNTY

An immature gray-phase GYRFALCON was seen in northwestern Utah on Saturday,
04/07 (JL,MV). The bird was seen about 23 miles southwest of Park Valley on
SR 30. At this point, a gravel road, signed for "BLM Rosebud Field Station"
heads off to the northwest. The bird was seen along this road about 1/2
mile from the highway, and was last seen about 1/2 mile north of the road.

SALT LAKE COUNTY

BAND-TAILED PIGEONS have returned to the Holladay area, where they were
seen coming to a feeder on Wednesday, 04/04 and Thursday, 04/05 (DO).

Along the south shore of the Great Salt Lake, near the Great Salt Lake SP
marina west of Saltair, BLUE-WINGED TEAL and CASPIAN TERNS were among a
number of spring arrivals seen on Friday, 04/06 (HG,GG,MH).

TURKEY VULTURES have returned to the traditional roost site near the mouth
of Big Cottonwood Canyon, where seven were seen on Monday, 04/02 (BW).

SAN JUAN COUNTY

A MYRTLE-type YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLER was seen at the Hatch Trading Post
southeast of Blanding on Saturday, 04/07 (DW,v.o.).

SUMMIT COUNTY

A WHITE-THROATED SPARROW continues to visit a feeder near Summit Park. It
was seen there on Monday, 04/02 (LL).

UTAH COUNTY

A SWAINSON'S HAWK was seen at Powell Slough, along the east shore of Utah
Lake, on Wednesday, 04/04. That same day, a SAGE SPARROW was seen along the
west side of the Provo Airport dike, just north of the pump station (RS).

WEBER COUNTY

A possible LITTLE BLUE HERON was reported from the west side of Ogden on
Thursday, 04/05 (RW). The bird was seen only briefly, in a pond on the
north side of 20th street, just west of Wall Ave.
