Utah Lake Dike road

On my way back from Ephraim (again!) I just HAD to stop and check out =
the Utah Lake Dike.  This was just before noon today (Saturday 2/17).  =
While we did not find Eric's cormorants, we did play "leap-frog" with a =
Loggerhead Shrike for over a  1/2 mile.  We got some great up close =
views of this bird.
We also found 4 Common Mergansers in the canal east of the westernmost =
portion of the road, and were also treated to some Pied Billed Grebes =
doing their best imitation of a submarine.
No real rarities, be we had a very enjoyable outing nonetheless!!
