Snow Geese and stuff

Hello. For anyone interested I saw a couple Snow Geese today on Utah Lake
behind the Timpanogos Wastwater Treatment Facility. They were out on the
ice with a mess off Canada Geese. The treatment Facility is on Utah Lake
between the Lindon Boat Harbor and the American Fork Boat Harbor. If go east
on the last road before you reach the A.F. Boat Harbor the treatment Plant
should be on your right before the Rail Road Tracks.

Also at the Treatment Facility is a Double-crested Cormorant. A juvenile
yesterday and an adult today. The adult had black plumes on the side of his
head. My Sibley Guide says that the southeastern birds have black plumes
and the northern and western birds have white ones. Does anyone know
anything about that?

I finally found Dennis's elusive Harris's Sparrow in Palmyra on my fourth
try. I went out there monday before work, parked at a little turnout up the
street and waited. After 45 minutes it finally showed up and gave me a few
glimpses before flying off again. He showed up a little before 8:00 and
then I had to rush off to work.

On Sunday I saw a White-breasted Nuthatch at Adventure and Learning Park.
The park entrance is just north of Lone Peak High school Which is north of
the Mt. Timpanogos Temple in Highland.
