VARIED THRUSH

At 3:55pm this afternoon I saw a VARIED THRUSH in southeastern Provo. It was a striking adult male, with a pronounced dark breast band, prominent orange eyebrow, and distinct wing bars. I saw it off and on for 40 minutes. It was in a loose flock of robins, but kind of stayed to itself most of the time.
To get to the location drive south on State Street in southeastern Provo towards Springville past the cemetary and the lane to Bicentennial Park to 1640 south. 1640 south is a small narrow lane which borders the south side of the Peay Storage Units. Turn right onto 1640 south and go about 400 yards to the railroad crossing. Just before crossing, turn right onto a small black cinder road that runs next to the tracks. Just ahead you will see a sign " Caution
Close Clearence. Just beyond the sign is a parking area on the right. Park here and start looking in the thick trees and understory to the right across the small creek. I saw the thrush in the low trees from this parking area and back to the south almost to 1640 south. There's a high chain-linked fence with a curl of saw edged bladed wire on top to the southeast. It frequented this spot alot. You can see this fence from the parking spot. Jump across the creek and work slowly through the cover. When spooked it seems to jump up into low tree branches. Good Luck! It's a Dynamite Bird! Let me know if you see it.
P.S. There's a mean looking female GREAT HORNED OWL in the trees also.
