Birding- Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2000

I was working in Wasatch County today and stopped by Alan Fuchs residence in Interlaken near Midway. Not many birds, but at least one GRAY-CROWNED ROSY FINCH was at his feeder.Only one!!! This is not usual, but one is whole lot better than none!
I received a report from Grant Jense [ DWR biologist] that he had seen a flock of 300 GCRFs on the ridge which comes down to the road that goes to Wallsburg, in Wasatch County last thursday. The ridge is about 400yds from the junction with US 40. I also checked here, but saw no finches.
At the Wasatch Mountain State Park visitor center pond a pair of BARROW'S GOLDENEYE were also seen.
