I saw this guy, 3 other Longspurs and 2 Snow Buntings on 9600 N in Penrose last night at about 4:00 P.M. I thought that Lapland Longspurs have more prominent arriculars and facial patterns. In this picture it looks to me like the bird is a lot lighter than what you would normally expect. Any thoughts?
