Heber Valley Water Treatment Facility

Description: A trail from the fisherman's access parking lot, goes downstream between the Provo River and a grassy meadow area.  The River is lined with large cottonwood trees and other typical riparian vegetation.  The grassy meadow has a branching stream running through it which produces a lot shallow wet areas and a small pond.  There are patches of  hawthorns and willows around and between the wet areas especially about a half mile down the trail where the pond is located.

Directions: 1. From Main Street (Hwy 40) in Heber, go west on 1st South (Hwy 113) for 2.1 miles.  Turn left (south) just after you cross the Provo River and park in the Fisherman's Access on your left as you approach the water treatment facility.
     2. From Midway, go east on Main Street to the Provo River bridge less than a mile out of town. Turn right (south) just before you cross the Provo River and park in the Fisherman's Access on your left as you approach the water treatment facility.
     3. Coming from Provo Canyon on Hwy 189 going toward Heber:  Just before you get to the Heber Valley Airport, turn left (north) on South Field Road (about 1200 West) and go a little less than 2 miles to Hwy 113.  Turn left and proceed to the Provo River bridge. Turn left (south) just after you cross the Provo River and park in the Fisherman's Access on your left as you approach the water treatment facility.
