Directions:  The trail head is at the upper end of the Calf Creek Recreation Area parking lot near UT 12 about 12 miles south of Boulder or 15 miles east of Escalante.

Birding:  The birding is good all along the trail, but especially by the beaver ponds and in other riparian areas along the stream. The Lower Calf Creek Falls is about 3 miles up the trail..

Birds: (Spring) Wild Turkey, Yellow-breasted Chat, Black-headed Grosbeak, Plumbeus Vireo, Spotted Towhee

Rarities:  Chestnut-sided Warbler (May 2009)
