Directions:  Take highway 89 going northeast from downtown Logan for about 15 miles and turn left (north) on Franklin Basin Road. Continue 3.3 miles north to the site of the Soil Conservation Service Klondike Narrows Snow Survey Station.

Description & Birds: (Roadside viewing, recommended for spring and summer, 15.0 miles NE from downtown Logan) Early morning birding is best (be- fore 8:30 a.m.) and is fairly good again from 4:30 p.m. until dark. Twenty species nest here, including the Dusky Flycatcher, Western Wood Peewee, Olive-sided Flycatcher and Mountain Bluebird.
