Nests in a conifer or in a deciduous tree at a height of 10-40 (6-60) feet, in a cup nest. This species is not a cowbird host. This species is an insectivore: air sallier.
  
Habitat: Breeds in Utah in sub-alpine conifer and aspen habitats.
