Background:
I have enjoyed nature and being outdoors since I was a young girl. I love
the beauty, serenity, and the vast diversity of opportunity to photograph.
My husband Matt bought me a Ricoh 35mm camera about 10 years ago 1997 I
did a lot of family photos, birthdays, camping trips, etc. I have been
wanting a digital SLR camera for quite some time, last year my husband
decided to surprise me and got me a Nikon D-50 SLR with Sigma Zoom lens,
this was one of the best presents I have ever received, and a dream come
true.
With my Nikon, I go out in the field whenever and as much as I can. I have
really enjoyed my camera and the time I have been able to spend in nature,
learning more about the birds, their habits, the sounds, and their migration
pattern. I have purchased books and field guides on birds and want to learn
as much as possible about them. I also photograph whatever wildlife comes my
way, but birds are my passion.
