Background:
I grew up in a small town in Iowa but have been on the faculty of the
University of Utah for 45 years where my fields of expertise are
biochemistry and microbiology. I received my PhD from Stanford University in
1972. I’ve have been a birder and wildlife enthusiast all my life, and my
other passion is travel, so I have birded on all the continents except
Antarctica. I enjoy taking photographs, and although I remain a rank amateur
in the realm of photography, I still love to take pictures of any kind of
wildlife, especially birds. Sometimes being at the right time and place
allows me to get lucky and take a good picture. |
