Born in Helsinki, Finland, spent my childhood in Finnish Lapland, grew up in Vancouver, Canada, and now live in Utah. Married. Five children, and five grandchildren. They are the joy of my life! BA in English Lit and History. I'm a professional writer and write biographies for a living -- and I've been an avid birder for over 10 years.
I'm strictly an amateur photographer but that's OK with me! I do it for the enjoyment. Seeing something beautiful or fascinating and then trying to capture the moment is a reward in and of itself. Nature is my favorite subject to capture. Flowers, birds, trees, people, landscapes -- there are more photo ops than there is time! My hope is to promote beauty and peace through the universal language of photography.
